Miriam, the eldest of eight learned at an early age the value of hard wok and compassion. Working in the beauty care business is an extension of showing her TLC, (Tender Loving Care) for others. Her philosophy is: "Treat other the way you want to be treated, don't give less than what you want".

She entered into the art of Beauty in 1980 training at Debbie's School of Beauty, specializing in Nail care. Prior to completion she was working at a local salon as a nail technician. Working hard to achieve her goals and getting experience with several south side Chicago beauty salons, she eventually opened her own salon. In 1996 she began working at "The Works" at Marshall Fields flagship location, State Street, Chicago, IL. In 1999 Miriam opened her own beauty salon, M & M Nails 'N' More located in the Pittsfield building, 55 E Washington, Chicago, IL. The out-reach treatments for seniors and home bound brings her special talents and caring personality to those who are not able to come to her. Recently she started booking appointment at Follicles Hair Design Salon which is also located in the Pittsfield building.
